Students of ‘Glee’ and Archie Plan a Comic-Book Mixer

While Fox would certainly adore a universe in that a stars of “Glee” stay perpetually immature (and sojourn perpetually in high school), that arrange of thing happens usually in comic books. But for 4 issues, a warbling youngsters of a New Directions joviality choir can know what it’s like to never grow aged and have their vital life dilemmas spin out consistently bloat when they accommodate Archie Andrews and his Riverdale pals in a stirring comic-book series.

On Monday Archie Comics pronounced that it would  tell a four-part story called “Archie Meets Glee,” in that characters like Archie, Betty, Veronica and Jughead brew it adult with a students of “Glee.” The series, that will run subsequent year in a publisher’s “Archie” series, will be illustrated by Dan Parent and created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, a “Glee” author and writer who has also created for many comic-book array and contributed to a book of a Broadway low-pitched “Spider-Man: Turn Off a Dark.”

Mr. Aguirre-Sacasa pronounced in a statement: “I’ve been wanting to write something for Archie Comics perpetually and my favorite Archie stories have always been those uncanny crossovers like ‘Archie Meets a Punisher’ and ‘Archie Meets KISS.’” He added: “I suspicion Archie meets ‘Glee’ would be a good crossover given they’re both set in high schools, they’re both optimistic, they both engage singing.”

A news recover from Archie Comics did not immediately prove that “Glee” characters would be concerned in a crossover or that songs they competence sing, though one assumes “Sugar, Sugar” would be on that playlist.
