SOUTH BARRINGTON – GiGi’s Playhouse’s ninth annual 5K Fun Run and Walk will take place Jun 10.

Participants can join some-more than 2,500 people, including Lauren Potter from a FOX TV array “Glee,” during a Arboretum of South Barrington, 100 W. Higgins Road, South Barrington.

The fun, inspirational day will lift much-needed income for educational programs, recognition and acceptance.

Potter portrays Becky Jackson on a award-winning “Glee” and is an active and outspoken disciple for Down syndrome awareness.

Besides a 5K Fun Run, a one-mile Inspirational Walk and a Dash for Down syndrome, there will be food, drinks and entertainment.

Registration starts during 7:30 a.m. The 5K run starts during 8:45 a.m. The mile travel starts during 9:30 a.m. and a lurch is immediately after that.

Entertainment includes music, rebound houses, a opening by GiGi’s cheerleading squad, The Cheer Gems, and more.

Pinstripes is charity a brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will present a apportionment of deduction for any 5K member to GiGi’s Playhouse Inc.
